The theme of central idea of Robopocalypse is that not all technology is good or useful.  This theme is displayed in the story because in the beginning of the book robots are harmless and helpful.  But then they become hostile and harmful.  "Once I'm over the counter, it pushes me into the ground.  I hear my left collarbone snap" (Wilson 27).  This quote explains
the theme because on boy is just doing his job when he gets attacked by a robot.
